Incoming freshmen students Olivia Cohn-White, left, of Sarasota, Florida, and Sydney House of Stockbridge, Georgia, are just two participants in Mississippi State's College Ready program. As part of their biology laboratory, the new students inspect the growth of the potato plugs they placed in different solutions during the osmosis lab exercise. College Ready allows new students to begin their college careers in the summer as they take general education courses, live in residence halls and meet fellow students, professors and staff.
