Elementary education graduate student Mary Katherine Morgan of Laurel leads Sudduth Elementary second-graders along the National Geographic's giant touring map of South America as the group lays down the red line representing the equator. The Mississippi Geographic Alliance sponsored the traveling map -- one of the world's largest representations of the continent.
