Sophomore Annie Blass, early childhood elementary education major from Hattiesburg, begins a science experiment with fourth-graders at Henderson-Ward Elementary in Starkville. The experiment, in conjunction with reading "Waiting for Ice" by Sandra Markle, is part of the Maroon Edition Children's Book Blitz, designed to engage Mississippi State students to inspire youth to read and connect with the community.
