Judge Edwin L. Pittman (c), chief justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court, is receiving the MSU Pre-Law Societys 2002 Distinguished Jurist Award. Pittman, a former state legislator. secretary of state and attorney general, was presented the annual honor Tuesday by society president Eric Eubanks, an Ocean Springs senior. Political science associate professor Diane Wall, the organizations adviser, also extended congratulations.
