Anthropology majors (l-r) Daniel McCallister of Starkville, Sherman Chow of Greenwood and Angie Steed of Kosciusko painstakingly examine an ancient house site in northern Oktibbeha County Wednesday. In a project directed by Evan Peacock of MSU’s Cobb Institute of Archaeology, students are excavating a 700-year-old Native American site.
