The University Florist at Mississippi State is celebrating its 80th anniversary on Friday [Nov. 21] with a special birthday open house from 1-4 p.m.
Patrons are invited to pick up a special birthday bouquet for $5, sign up for giveaways on the store's Birthday Club calendar, and browse its collection of McCarty's Pottery. There will also be discounts on one-of-a-kind gifts and holiday decorations. Cake, coffee and punch will be served.
Additionally, "Florals Through the Decades" by students in the floral design for special events class will be on display.
The University Florist will be open from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday [Nov. 22] for Mississippi State's game day against Vanderbilt.
