Martha has made immense contributions to improving higher education in our state. I am especially grateful for the help she gave when I assumed the presidency at Mississippi State, and I have continued to count on her wise counsel over these past three years.
Martha provided strong leadership in communicating the message that funding our eight public universities represents a solid investment in the future of Mississippi.
She has also always been a forceful advocate for initiatives important to USM students, faculty, staff and alumni. I salute Martha's service to her alma mater and to our great state.
