STARKVILLE, Miss.--The G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery Center for America's Veterans at Mississippi State University is sponsoring a mobile health clinic Veterans Day, Nov. 11, to provide limited health care services and Department of Veterans Affairs enrollment information.
Representatives from the VA will be available 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the Colvard Student Union's second floor to assist veterans with a variety of services, including eligibility, registration, lab work, physical exams, and enrollment in the e-health website MyHealtheVet.
"Many of the student veterans we have on campus are unaware they are eligible for benefits and have yet to register with the VA," MSU veterans recruiting coordinator David Blair said.
"It is very important for the VA to maintain a record of veterans, and the mobile clinic is a convenient way to begin the process. It helps make veterans and service members aware of the benefits provided through the Department of Veterans Affairs," he said.
Blair said participants should check in at the Old Main room, and then will be directed to the appropriate stations.
