STARKVILLE, Miss.--The Mississippi State University Department of Music will host its annual Music Discovery Day Nov. 22 for prospective music and music education majors to learn more about the MSU program and the potential for future careers.
The open-house format will provide opportunities for high school juniors, seniors and community college students to interact with current music department faculty and students, sit in on music classes and performances, and tour the campus. Staff members from the Office of Admissions and Scholarships also will be available to answer questions about the application process and financial aid.
Parents of participants also are welcome to attend.
Registration is available online at http://www.music.msstate.edu/discover/ and carries a $5 fee, which will be payable at the event check-in.
