MEDIA ADVISORY: MSU again welcomes Boy Scouts

Contact: Kenneth Billings

More than 160 Boy Scouts and special guests are expected on campus Saturday [March 6] for Mississippi State's second Boy Scout Day.

Sponsored by the university's Division of Finance and Administration and athletic department, the annual event was conceived as a way to thank Scouts for their hard work and community service, and to introduce them to the Starkville campus.

Activities get under way at 8 a.m. at the Sanderson Center with a welcome from head baseball coach John Cohen, head softball coach Jay Miller and assistant football coach Rockey Felker.

During the morning, small-group sports clinics will be led by Bulldog coaches and athletes. Lunch at the Templeton Athletic Academic Center and the 11 a.m. Michigan State-Mississippi State baseball game at Dudy Noble Field will round out the program.
