The Mississippi State University Alumni Association will stream its annual awards banquet live Friday [Feb. 12] beginning at 6 p.m. The event kicks-off a year-long celebration for the association's 125th anniversary.
The event honors the university's National Alumnus of the Year, Roy H. Ruby. Thirteen others being honored will include the nine individual college alumni of the year, a young alumnus of the year and three distinguished service award selections.
Other highlights will include:
--Formal welcome of the 91st alumni chapter as the recently chartered Cincinnati-Dayton, Ohio, membership joins others from across the United States and one in South Korea; and
--Special recognition of Donald W. Zacharias for his 12 years of leadership as university president, from 1985-1997.
