Taylor V. Adams of Mississippi State is the new president-elect of the Mississippi Association of Governmental Purchasing and Property Agents. The Columbus native and Starkville resident has been purchasing agent in the university's procurements and contracts office for the past three years. A 2001 MSU business administration/marketing graduate, he serves as president-elect for a year before moving up to the association's highest office. Formed in 1983, MAGPPA today represents nearly 700 professionals at the state, county and municipal levels. It also serves as the Mississippi chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.
