Mississippi State's communication department again is joining with the university's Career Center to sponsor the Communication Career Fair.
To be held 1-4 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Foster Ballroom of the Colvard Student Union, the third annual event will involve potential employers and graduate school representatives. More than 100 students took part in each of the first two fairs.
"We were very pleased with the first two years of our Communication Career Fair, and hope to have it grow even more this year," said John E. Forde, communication department head. "Not only are we striving to help our students, but we also want to provide employers and graduate schools with an opportunity to connect with prospects that could positively impact their organizations for years to come."
The come-and-go program involves the department's various academic offerings: broadcasting, communication studies, journalism, public relations, theater, and sports communication.
Companies or organizations already registered include Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi, Cumulus Broadcasting, East Mississippi Electric Power Association, Mississippi College Graduate School, MSU International Education; MSU Community Action Team, MSU Athletic Media Relations, Public Relations Association of Mississippi, University of Southern Mississippi's communication graduate program, and WCBI-TV.
