STARKVILLE, Miss.--Mississippi State students interested in applying for the 2009 Korean Study Tour should make plans to attend an information-sharing meeting Jan. 29.

Organized by the university's Global Leadership Program, the travel-and-learning experience--which also includes a visit to Japan--is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate majors in all academic disciplines. Participants must be United States citizens.

Other details of this year's trip will be covered at the 5 p.m. session in the Taylor Auditorium of McCool Hall, home of the College of Business.

Now in its third year, the Asian tour is coordinated by Korean native and veteran college faculty member J.P. Shim, a professor of management and information systems.

Following an application review process, selected students will be interviewed in mid-February. This year's travel group will include 25 at the undergraduate level; 14 at the graduate level.
