Mississippi State University will cancel classes and close business offices at the Starkville campus this afternoon (Friday, March 7) due to incoming severe weather.
Snow is expected in the Starkville area beginning about 5 p.m. Travel will become hazardous with temperatures dropping throughout the evening.
Students leaving for Spring Break should exercise caution if travelling to the north or west, where snow accumulations are expected to be greatest.
Residence halls will remain open tonight and next week.
The Union Food court will be open Saturday and on a limited basis next week.
