Faculty social and seminar scheduled for March 30

Roger King, Mississippi State's William L. Giles Distinguished Professor and associate dean of engineering, will present a seminar March 30, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Eastman Auditorium of the Swalm Chemical Engineering Building.

The seminar, titled "The Global Earth Observation System of Systems: What is it and why should I care?" is aligned with the second in a series of wine and cheese socials presented by the Office of Academic Affairs for MSU faculty and significant others. The social is set from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Swalm Conference Center on the fourth floor of the building.

Dr. King recently completed a one-year assignment at NASA headquarters, serving as a senior technical and policy advisor in the role of chief technologist for the Earth Science Enterprise Applications Division. He is associate dean for research and graduate studies for MSU's Bagley College of Engineering.
