Sessums Hall Parking Lot

Improvements for Sessums Hall Parking Lot have been scheduled to be begin the week of December 12, 2005. The lot will be patched, over-laid with new asphalt, stripped, and ready for use on Monday, January 9, 2006.

Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the area no later than Monday morning, December 12, 2005.

Rice Hall Parking Lot

Improvements for Rice Hall Parking Lot have been rescheduled to be performed the week beginning December 12, 2005, due to delays experienced by the contractor. The lot will be patched, over-laid with new asphalt, stripped and ready for use on Monday, January 9, 2006.

Residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the area no later than Monday morning, December 12, 2005.

Lee Boulevard Gated Lot

Construction to allow for the installation of gates on Lee Boulevard parking lots is to begin on December 5, 2005.

Lee Boulevard will remain open during construction and we appreciate your assistance and understanding as we construct this improvement. Please direct any questions concerning this project to Facilities Managementat 5-5830.

Lloyd-Ricks Gated Lot

Construction to allow for the installation of gates on the Lloyd-Ricks parking lot is to begin on December 5, 2005. The parking lot will remain open during construction and we appreciate your assistance and understanding as we improve this lot. Please direct any questions concerning this project to Facilities Management at 5-5830.

Hardy Rd. Lot

To enable construction of a new 237-vehicle lot, Mississippi State officials are alerting university students and employees to the planned Dec. 12 closing of a large area between McComas Hall and Hardy Road.

For safety reasons, the east-campus construction area will be fenced off to commuter and pedestrian traffic.

McComas Hall is home to the communication department, a major theater and the department of art gallery. Hardy Road is a major north-south connector between Blackjack Road and East Lee Boulevard.

Construction and paving of the lot is scheduled to take 150 days, with a completion date of May 10. RAFCO Contracting Inc. of Columbus is the contractor.

All vehicles should be removed from the area no later than the morning of the 12th, which is the first university workday following the Dec. 9 and 10 fall graduation ceremonies.
