Mississippi State's communication department presents its annual Children's Play Nov. 21 and 22 at the university's McComas Hall theater.

"Bamboozled," a comedy by Michael Elliot Brill from his 1985 children's book of the same name, begins at 7 p.m. each day. Tickets, which may be purchased at the door, are $5 for children, senior citizens and MSU students, faculty and staff; $10 for all others.

To accommodate elementary-age students, afternoon matinee performances also are being scheduled on a reservation-only basis.

Set in the 1600s, Bamboozled is presented as a traditional commedia dell'arte--the popular comedic style originating in Italy during the same historical period in which masked entertainers improvise from a basic plot on themes associated with stock characters and situations. In this case, the plot involves the triumph of good over evil.
