Mississippi State's Campus Activities Board welcomes the approaching Christmas season with major public events in late November and early December.

On Nov. 29 and 30, the 1999 University Holiday Bazaar will feature more than 150 arts and crafts vendors in the Colvard Union. Beginning at 8 a.m. each day, all three floors will be filled with handmade selections from artisans in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee.

The bazaar, which is free to all and includes the awarding of door prizes every hour, concludes at 9 p.m. on the 29th and 6 p.m. on the 30th.

The 33rd annual Madrigal Dinner takes place Dec. 6 in the Bost Extension Center auditorium. The 6 p.m. program begins with a selection of period songs performed by the MSU Madrigal Singers and concludes with a Medieval Yuletide-inspired meal prepared by the chefs of Café Portobella's in Starkville.

Dinner tickets, which must be purchased in advance from the Union Ticket Office (118 Colvard), are $25 each for members of the general public; $20 for MSU students.

For additional information on the events, telephone Paula Raffo, Tamara Lee or Shellye Palmer at (662) 325-2930.
