An expert on radiation and its effects on humans will present a public seminar March 26 at Mississippi State University.
Kenneth L. Mossman, professor in the microbiology department of Arizona State University, will speak on "Cold War Science: Lessons Learned from Human Radiation Experiments" at 3:30 p.m. in 116 McCool Hall.
Mossman, founding chair of the department of radiation sciences at Georgetown University, has done extensive research on radiation exposure. His work includes studies on the health effects of environmental radon, radiation protection and public policy, biological effects of low-level radiation, and radiation exposure during pregnancy.
His visit is sponsored by the MSU chapter of Sigma Xi scientific research society and the Arts and Sciences Colloquium Series.
