About this event
Gamble Rogers was an influential folk singer and songwriter, and a teller of wry stories about what he called "raffish" Florida characters. He died tragically at age 54. The new documentary film "Gamble Rogers: Down at the Terminal Tavern" celebrates this unjustly neglected troubadour. Filmmakers Bill and Melissa Shepard Sykes (who will attend the screening) interviewed the likes of Jimmy Buffett, who said of Rogers: "He was a musician's musician, and he was an entertainer's entertainer."
General admission tickets for this third show in the MSU Riley Center's summer Film Series cost $12. A season pass for all four films in the series is available for $36.
Tickets can be purchased at www.msurileycenter.com, by phone at 601-696-2200 or in person at the MSU Riley Center Box Office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
