'Student Engagement: How to Use Writing and Other Strategies'

The Division of Student Affairs and the Maroon and Write Quality Enhancement Plan are co-sponsoring a presentation to help enhance student engagement in the Mississippi State community. The featured speaker is George D. Kuh, founding director, senior scholar and co-principal investigator of the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment. Also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois and Chancellor's Professor Emeritus at Indiana University, Kuh will address the positive impact of writing and other strategies on student engagement. He designed the widely used National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and has written extensively about student engagement, assessment, institutional improvement, and college and university cultures. His presentation is open to everyone who is interested in learning more about how to engage students at the university. Click the link below for more information.
