'The Conversation' Informational Session for MSU Faculty/Researchers

Mississippi State is joining a commentary and analysis website, www.theconversation.com, in which university researchers can contribute articles on topics grounded in academic expertise. The website includes sections on arts and culture, economy and business, education, environment and energy, ethics and religion, health and medicine, politics and society, as well as science and technology. All content is published under a Creative Commons license, which means the website is not only free for anyone to read, but also may be freely republished. Mississippi State faculty members, as well as research and graduate assistants and postdoctoral associates, are invited to learn about this new university partnership during an informational session in Mitchell Memorial Library’s first-floor auditorium. Representatives from The Conversation, as well as university leaders, will discuss the writing process and benefits of writing for the website.
