April 02, 2018 - 2:00 pm

About this event

Mississippi State University Associate Professor David Hoffman is leading an information session about the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Hoffman, a former Fulbright grantee currently serving as MSU's Fulbright program adviser, will be joined via Skype by MSU’s 2017 Fulbright recipients, Bailey Bullock and Andrew House. Bullock currently serves as an English teaching assistant in Colombia, and House is studying and conducting research in Finland. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers fellowships abroad for one academic year to graduating college seniors, graduate students, young professionals, scientists and artists. Program participants pursue graduate or professional study, advanced research or English teaching in elementary and secondary schools or universities. Each year, approximately 1,600 Americans traveling to more than 140 countries receive support from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
