Evan Peacock, professor in Mississippi State University's Department of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Cultures and interim director of MSU's Cobb Institute of Archaeology, is giving a presentation during which he will explain what archaeology is, why it is important and what the public can do to support it. His talk is being held during the month of October, which is Mississippi Archaeology Month. A display of archaeological artifacts will be on display at Starkville Public Library throughout the month.
