About this event
Under the direction of Mississippi State University Department of Music Head Barry E. Kopetz, the Starkville-MSU Symphony Orchestra is presenting a “Strings Across the Sea” children’s program on the Starkville campus. Free to all, the program at historic Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium is made possible by the Starkville-MSU Symphony Association. Additional support is provided by MSU’s Office of the President, the Mississippi Arts Commission, 4-County Electric Education Foundation, and CREATE Tupelo, along with individual gifts. The performance will feature eight visiting Japanese violinists, as well as a piano concerto performed by Steinway Artist Rosângela Yazbec Sebba, the music department’s professor of piano, theory and ear training.
